Through
environmentally and socially responsible choices, the HC3 Zero Heroes program aims to provide the resources
that will enable local businesses to reduce waste. In return, your business benefits from community
recognition and financial rewards such as reductions in
operating costs!
According to the 2007 Cone
Consumer Environmental Survey, 91% of Americans
say they have a more positive image of
a company that’s environmentally responsible.
In the survey, 85%
of respondents say they would switch to another
company’s products or services because of negative
practices.
Consumers say they do want
to address environmental issues with products and services
that: reduce pollution; represent a more eco-friendly design;
are packaged more efficiently; support environmental causes;
and communicate their efforts to customers.
It’s easy! The High
Country Conservation Center will provide assistance to businesses
as they develop new practices and seek out new products.
Basic waste audits, as well as local resources,
are provided to businesses in the program to help them find
the best solutions for their specific business.
To become a Zero Hero, contact the High Country Conservation
