The High Country Conservation Center has partnered with the Governor's Energy Office (GEO) for the ENERGY STAR New Homes Program.

ENERGY STAR qualified homes are independently verified to meet rigorous guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. EPA. With ENERGY STAR, you get all the features you expect, plus a quieter, more comfortable home and lower utility bills. At the same time, you’ll be helping to reduce greenhouse gases that contribute to global climate change.

Energy Star homes save home owners money.

HC3 is now an Energy Star Partner and offering a full line of services for Home Energy Ratings. This includes Energy Star Certification for new homes.

HC3 has been instrumental in promoting the Energy Star New Homes program and bringing BPI and RESNet trainings to our community.  Not only have we provided training opportunities, we have taken the time to foster the growth of individuals looking to get into the energy efficiency industry. 

Over the last two years we have increased the Energy Star New Homes market infiltration rate from nearly 0 to 60% in Summit County. That means 60% of all new homes built last year in Summit County, were rated Energy Star.
