In partnership with Energy Outreach Colorado and the Summit Foundation, HC3 is offering two income qualified programs: CARE (Colorado’s Affordable Residential Energy) for those who earn 80% AMI (Area Median Income) or less, and Working Families Initiative for locals who earn between 80-140% AMI.

CARE

In order to qualify for the program, you must earn 80% AMI or lower. If you do not qualify under CARE, it’s still worth giving HC3 a call as they have many energy programs available for all income levels.

Qualified CARE program participants receive a complimentary home energy assessment as well as free LED lighting upgrades. Depending on the needs of the home, additional no-cost energy upgrades including: furnace or boiler tune-up and safety check, insulation and air sealing improvements, high efficiency refrigerator, high-efficiency water heater, storm windows, and programmable thermostats may be installed.

Working Families

Qualified Working Families program participants receive a complimentary home energy assessment as well as free LED lighting upgrades. Households who complete at least one of the recommended home energy efficiency upgrades will receive a rebate for 50% of the project cost up to a maximum of $800.

To apply for either program, contact High Country Conservation Center at 970-668-5703 or email cody@highcountryconservation.org.
