Summit County Recycling Drop-Off Centers
Summit County recycling drop-off centers are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All materials recycled at the drop-off centers end up at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) located at the Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP, aka landfill) in Keystone, where they are sorted, baled, and shipped all over the United States to be made into new products. Materials accepted at the free drop-off centers include, mixed paper, No. 1 Pete plastic bottles, No. 2 HDPE plastic bottles, mixed metal containers, cardboard & paperboard, mixed glass, clear glass, batteries, used motor oil, and scrap metal.
