Tour beautiful private gardens in Summit County Colorado between 9AM and 3PM on Saturday July 22nd. Tickets are $10 in advance, and $15 on Tour day. Exchange the ticket you get online for a Tour Guidebook at the Community and Senior Center in Frisco between 8:30AM and 11AM on Saturday the 22nd. Please arrive before 11.
This year’s tour gardens are in Frisco, Silverthorne and Keystone.
At an elevation of 9000 feet, you will view stunning perennial and alpine plants, trees and flowers in a beautiful mountain setting. The gardens are mixed. Some designed by the homeowner and some designed professionally. This year we are featuring gardens on smaller land areas.
The Tour is a photographer’s dream and the diversity of gardens will provide many ideas for your own garden.
At registration on Saturday morning, enjoy a continental breakfast with coffee, tea, juice and baked goods made by members. This breakfast receives rave reviews every year!
Bring your camera and enjoy the day. There are restaurants throughout all the garden area Towns for you to enjoy for lunch or post event refreshment.
Directions to registration at the Community Center in Frisco:. From I 70, use exit 203-, Frisco exit. Proceed south on Summit Blvd through Frisco. The traffic light right after Frisco’s Main Street is County Rd 1004 aka Peak One Blvd. Turn right. The road curves, The first left is Nancy’s Place. Turn left and then left again into the parking lot.
Coming from the south: Take Hwy 9 through Breckenridge. Continue on Hwy 9 north to Frisco. (Frisco is about 10 miles from Breckenridge) After passing the Hospital and the Adventure Park. make a left at the next traffic light, County Rd 1004 aka Peak One Blvd. Follow around the curve, turn left at Nancy’s Place, and then left again into the parking lot. (Enter Frisco,Co into Google maps, then zoom in and you will see the location.)
Additional Tour notes. Wear comfy shoes that work well for uneven ground, rock and gravel walkways and steps.
Proceeds of this Tour fund a scholarship for a Summit High School senior studying plant related science. Additional funds provide grants to other County and Town public gardens. Thank you for supporting us.
The Tour poster will be available for purchase at registration. The original painting will also be available for purchase via silent auction. Summit County’s Women of Watercolor will be at the event displaying beautiful paintings of our gorgeous alpine flora.
