About Us

Frisco Clean Tracks Business Program is a partnership between the Town of Frisco and the High Country Conservation Center. The mission of the Frisco Clean Tracks initiative is to become a model mountain community committed to clean energy solutions, economic vitality, and environmental stewardship through: action, education, and inspiration.

The Frisco Clean Tracks Business Program recognizes and encourages businesses to add environmental considerations into their day to day operations.  It is a voluntary program that promotes energy savings and waste reduction opportunities for businesses, which in turn also helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Business Pledge to Implement Green Strategies
We believe a successful economy is dependent on a healthy environment. We are actively working to show our environmental responsibility to our community by committing to the following objectives: to develop and implement practices that use resources more efficiently to prevent pollution and waste to strive for continuous improvement

2012 GREEN CHAMPION PRIZE - THE SHOE INN!!!!

This business reduced their waste stream by 75% when they began composting.  They used Frisco Clean Tracks money to help them replace all of their lights.  They now have energy efficient LEDs and T8 fluorescents.  This will save them over $600 a year in energy costs and over 6,000 kWh and 10,500 lbs of carbon annually.

This year our Green Champion Prize, for the most energy, waste and carbon reduced goes to Shannon and Wallace from the Shoe Inn.
